Simple.fi is built so you stay in control of your financial data, from how it is protected in our systems to how much you choose to share in the first place. Here is exactly how we keep it safe, in plain language.
THE TECHNICAL SIDE
Every connection to Simple.fi runs over HTTPS, and your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure. Sensitive items, like the statement and receipt files you import, are encrypted before they are saved and never kept in plain text.
Your records are tied to your account and only visible to you. Access rules on our database check that every read and write belongs to you, so no other user can reach your information.
Statement and receipt imports and links to Google are optional and only ever read what you approve. You can delete an import or disconnect any integration at any time, and nothing is imported without your action.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to profile you. Simple.fi makes money from subscriptions, not from your information.
THE LEGAL SIDE
As a tool for freelancers in Portugal, Simple.fi is designed to respect the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU framework that gives you real rights over your personal data. In Portugal this is reinforced by Lei n.º 58/2019.
You can see and export your data at any time. It is yours to take with you.
Delete your account and its data whenever you want, straight from your settings. When it is gone, it is gone.
We only use your data to run the features you asked for. Nothing more, no hidden uses.
Connections and permissions are always opt in. You decide, and you can change your mind.
YOU ARE IN CONTROL
You never have to hand over more than you want. Prefer to keep some things off the platform? That is completely fine, and Simple.fi still works.
Add transactions by hand instead of importing a statement
Leave out details, names or notes you would rather keep private
Round or redact amounts if you only want a rough picture
Upload only the invoices and files you choose, and delete them later
