Terms of Service

By using Simple-Fi, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they're written in plain language.

1. What Simple-Fi is

Simple-Fi is a personal financial management tool built for freelancers and self-employed professionals. It helps you track income and expenses, manage invoices, forecast taxes, plan cash flow, and set financial goals. Simple-Fi is a planning and organisational tool. It does not constitute professional financial, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

2. Your account

To use Simple-Fi, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for: • Keeping your login credentials secure • All activity that occurs under your account • Ensuring the information you enter is accurate You must be at least 16 years old to use Simple-Fi.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Simple-Fi only for its intended purpose — managing your own freelance finances. You must not: • Use the service for illegal purposes or to store illegal content • Attempt to access other users' data • Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service • Interfere with the security or integrity of the platform • Upload malicious code or content

4. Your data

You own the data you enter into Simple-Fi. We process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account.

5. Service availability

We aim to keep Simple-Fi available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from service downtime or technical issues.

6. Payment and subscriptions

Simple-Fi currently offers a free tier that includes all core features. If paid plans are introduced in the future, pricing and terms will be clearly communicated before any charges are applied. All prices shown are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Simple-Fi and its operators are not liable for: • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages • Loss of data, revenue, or profits • Errors in tax calculations or financial forecasts (these are estimates only) • Actions taken based on information displayed in the app Simple-Fi's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

8. Intellectual property

Simple-Fi and its design, code, and content are protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Simple-Fi without prior written consent.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice in cases of serious violations. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating this page and, where appropriate, sending an email notification. Your continued use of Simple-Fi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Simple-Fi shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal. For users in the European Union, nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
